REDD+ Country Candidates
A number of additional eligible countries expressed interest in joining the FCPF prior to January 31, 2013. The governing body of the FCPF, the Participants Committee, requested the Facility Management Team to solicit additional information from these potential REDD+ country candidates having expressed interest in the FCPF. In December 2013, 11 of the 17 additional eligible countries presented their Readiness Preparation Proposals to the Participants Committee, and 8 of these 11 countries were selected to join the FCPF. The 3 countries that were not selected were invited to resubmit their Readiness Preparation Proposals for possible selection into the FCPF should additional financial resources become available.
